What You’ll Need
- TS Golf Net
- Hitting mat
- Tees or alignment aid (optional)
Session Overview
Total time: 30 minutes
- 5 minutes – Warm-up
- 10 minutes – Ball striking focus
- 10 minutes – Accuracy & control
- 5 minutes – End-of-session challenge
Warm-Up (5 minutes)
Focus: Loosen up and establish rhythm.
- Start with short irons or wedges
- Gradually increase swing length
If swings feel stiff:
- Make 2–3 slow rehearsal swings before hitting a ball
Feel to look for:
A relaxed, balanced motion.
Ball Striking Focus (10 minutes)
Focus: Centred contact and low-point control.
- Use one iron
- Hit controlled shots into the net
- Reset setup every few shots
If you’re topping or thinning shots:
- Stand slightly closer to the ball
- Focus on keeping your chest over the ball through impact
If you’re hitting the mat too early:
- Feel your weight shift to the favouring lead foot at impact
Feel to look for:
Hands leading the clubhead into impact.
Accuracy & Control (10 minutes)
Focus: Start line and consistency.
- Choose a target on the net
- Alternate clubs every few shots
If shots start left or right:
- Check grip pressure (keep it light)
- Re-align feet and shoulders
If dispersion increases:
- Reduce swing speed slightly
Feel to look for:
Same tempo regardless of club.
End-of-Session Challenge (5 minutes)
Focus: Finishing with intent.
- Choose one club
- Hit 10 committed shots at one target
If fatigue sets in:
- Slow the swing
- Prioritise balance over speed
Feel to look for:
Controlled swings with a clear intention.
